    [ASK] Space for nozzle MIG,,

    Helo all,,
Im new to welding, in my project, there are some areas that must be welded and no leak,,
But, the product design force me to weld in very small space that not big enough for nozzle to penetrate,,
So, is there some standard of nozzle space requirement? Or it could be solved by extend wire from tip, lets assume about 20mm..
I use 18mm nozzle and 0.9mm wire for MIG robot and CO2 gas,,

    Any idea wolud be great,,

    Regard,,
    #sorry for my english

Keep in mind that tapered tips go hand in hand with tapered nozzles. Tapered tips help offset the reduced area for gas flow.

Nope. Not a good idea. If you ask me, that piece needs to be redesigned from scratch or welded with stick, at least for that section.

Set it up flux core and you can make a contact tip 6" long if you want to
