    Close, but they are still "open toed". Toed, not toad or towed.....

    Hmm how about a steel toed track shoe strap on for your shoes not the other things. It would keep the nails and sharp objects from poking through but flex so walking in them would not be like wearing bricks for shoes.

    Another option would be to just wear steel toed socks with them. The ones bassboy posted won't stop a nail from coming through or hot slag from melting through the bottom.

    You have to combine the two. Add the safety toe to the steel bottom and rebar.

    That's right, combine the flip flops above^^ with steel toed socks and you got it. Perfect!!!

    One good thing is you could get your foot out of one in a real hurry unlike a laced up boot with a glowing chunk of molten steel rolled down inside of it.

    When I was a kid, many moons ago, flip flops were called "thongs", now thongs are string panties or some similar crap, all I know is that the thongs of nowadays would do nothing for my feet & I couldn't find any that would fit my A$$! Guess I'm just SOL
