Bob I do have plans to add a receiver at both ends so I can add risers that will allow me to haul long 20' - 24' sticks of building materials. Not quite there yet.

Oh yeah I want to add tie downs on the deck corners inside of the gates so I can tie down heavy objects with gates intact. Add it to the list of projects.

Just think, if you add a receiver on the back end of your trailer, you can join the crowd and add another trailer so you have a double and have one trailer towing another.

Re: Boat Trailer Converted Flatbed Mod's

Ok trailer held up and I actually put most of the weight on the rear of the trailer. I was concerened about the weaving from side to side but even more so worried about the tongue coming off the ball. I bungie chorded the lock because it is not in the best shape. So anyway, I was on my way home with one tire a little low. Then this yahoo driving very slow in front of me decided to speed up but only after I changed lanes to go around. Well that pissed me off and almost got me in trouble. I sped up and made a rapid movement and ya'll all know about the U-Haul video of improper load ballancing. Well I came close to being one of those statistics. It made my heart race for a minute. I did not panic and stab the breaks. I sped up a bit in a straight line then gradually slowed down a bit and it worked and the speed wobble subsided. Hmm speed wobble, yeah the trick was to slow down the rest of the way home 50 mph or less. Stopped a few exits past that almost bad thing and put air in the low tire at Americas Tire. I could have not said anything about it. But it learned me real qwick, I knew when I was loading it that I would mostlikely experie both problems mentioned above but I also knew that had I loaded it on the front of the trailer I would probably not be able to get it off the trailer. It all worked out in the end, thank God.

Here is the Millermatic 35s. I'm guessing the s stands for spot and stitch welding as it has the spot timer and burn back control timer kind of nice for an older machine. I'm guessing it's a dud and is not working. It did not come with a gun. It did however come with a nice Harris Flow control CO2 Regulator that has the glass tube or plastic tube and metal ball. Old school stuff and the wire in the machine is Harris Wire.
