New guy in central Tx, and new to welding

New guy here from Austin. I'm just getting into this whole world of welding and fabrication. I'm just a hobbyist with a little Millermatic 211 on order. I'll be taking a MIG class in October by a couple in the Texas hill country who produce wood and metal furniture.

My goals with welding are to fabricate and install steel pedestrian gates on both sides of my house, and steel/cedar fencing along the perimeter of my back yard. After that will likely be some steel planters.

Looking forward to learning from you all!

My company has an Austin office. I hope to get down there to visit one day. Might add location to your profile to connect with local events and resources.

If thinking do welding and fab work the old school drafting
