    Must be rewarding as hell to see her afloat! The proportions look great, you'd have thought that was her original design. You guys (and maybe gals) did some great work!

    Congrats on the very interesting rebuild and well documented posting, Beaver.

    Besides taming the spillage problems, has the bow and stern extension changed the handling characteristics? Specifically in the yaw axis? It would seem to me that not moving the rudder would result in a pronounced pivoting motion. Just guessing here, remember I’m an aircraft guy with little boat experience.

    We only lengthened the stern by less than two feet, so it steers just fine and the yaw, I’m assuming you mean front to back? Is night and day from the old boat

    Rough day in the Oregon coast crab industry today.

    The Mary B out of Newport capsized and sank as being escorted across the Yaquina bar by the USCG

    I believe she was featured on Deadliest Catch a while back. Sad news for sure.
