Intermittent High Frequency on Syncrowave 200

I have seen this problem before, but it cleared quickly. Now HF is missing most of the time. I can hear the gas solenoid click, so the pedal is good.

I am not really sure where to start looking for a problem like this. Do I pull off the covers and get out a heat gun to see if I can figure out where the problem is? I should check the point clearance, I assume.

I'd start with cleaning and gapping the HF points. If they need to be dressed, I use 1500 grit paper. A bigger gap will generally make for more reliable arc initiation.
