Newbie to this site that needs help

I would like to thank you for allowing me to join this site. I have a Lincoln Power mig with spool gun. I have been playing around with some cracks on aluminum rims. Nothing that is going back on a car right now. I have been having problems finding the right settings. im getting alot of birds nest and a real crappy weld. When im done and i grind it down im still getting air coming out. Its like air bubbles or something. Can someone please help me out and give some input on where my settings might be the best at. I have the magnum pro 100 SG spool gun.

If you're welding rims with the tire mounted,STOP immediately and get the tire completely deflated.

It is a hazardous practice and may cause the tire to explode.

He said in his initial post that it's not going back on the car.

On the car or not Gina, welding on a rim with the tire mounted can/has caused a chemical reaction that causes an uncontrolled increase in internal temperature/pressure that eventually results in a violent explosion.
