Power sources for Lincoln LN-25 mig welder question

Hi folks - can a Lincoln 350mp be used as a power source for a Lincoln LN-25 mig welder? If so, how is it done?

It's not designed for that, especially since the 350mp has a built in wire feeder already.
The LN25 (or any voltage sensing suitecase feeder) is designed to be used with either an engine drive welder or a multi process power source like the v350 or xmt machines.

Thanks Jason - That is helpful info. The reason i was asking is that there was one for sale in the area for a good price and it triggered my inquisitive nature as to how to configure into a power source. Cheers.

speaking of trigger, if you jump the trigger wire, it should stay hot, and i dont see why u cant run a ln25. i ran my ln 25 off my delta weld 450, by doing just that

Not sure why you would bother messing with it or potentially messing with the warranty when the MP350 is already a good mig welder? Not to mention the unnecessary expense of an LN25 on top of the expense already into the MP350.

ln 25's arent cheap anymore if u buy new. i just got some drive rolls for cored, that were on back order, and were slightly over a hundered bucks. while talkin to lincoln, they told me the list price for a ln25 is 3800. thats insane. i told my distributor about that, they said they could do 3200. still insane. a pro is much less. i got 5 ln 25's, and keep different drive rolls, guns, wire type/size, in them, and find it easy to just grab the suitcase i need, hook to a cable and string it out. for me , beats changing wires, guns etc on a machine, and gives me a longer leash to run around w/

snoeproe - you are very right. But I am an amateur (age 71) and tend to make a lot of crazy decisions. Your first post opened my eyes. But I was also intrigued and curious as to how the wire feeder would connect to a power source. Although I will never be a professional welder, I completed a one year Community College Steel Fabrication course in 2017, at age 70. For me it's about knowledge. This is one of the best forums for my knowledge thirst. Thanks for your feedback.

The LN-25 is (as of 2 days ago) still for sale on Kijiji.ca (New Brunswick)for $2000CAN which would be about $1300USD). Looks like new. Smoking deal. Almost worth buying and flipping it for US$.

I sold one almost new last year. Had it advertised forever but I finally got my $2000 Cdn.

I run an LN 25 with my Miller 350 XMT or Lincoln 305G Ranger.
