    Your question is a good one and certainly justified however, I tend to answer this question with the question "How long is a rope?".

    That said, the SAE300 is a much sought after machine in many circles and much of it depends not only overall condition but the region, how much work there is in same at the time and local market demand. The later diesel version is far more desirable than the fuel hungry 6 cylinder Continental which will likely have a negative impact on value for someone looking for a daily driver to make their living with if they know anything about the machines.

    The real appeal of the SAE series is its infinitely adjustable coarse amperage capability in addition to the typical fine current control. As such there are no ranges or "gears" as commonly referred to for the SA series.

    Don't know your location and a few more shots of the unit (doors up/off if it still has them) and whether it runs and welds would be nice to know as well.
