    "Heck" bevel machine:

This is a very good price given the condition. It is like mine and I really like it:

I have absolutely no intention of ever using one of those tools again in my life.
Good investment for a young man. Pay for itself fast on the first job.

Slob put wheels on his and a long cord and sets it loose on poodles in his shop.

Scared the last one so bad he left a brown trailer behind him!!!

Those bevel mills are the "cat's meow" when it comes to bevels where they'll reach. Saves a whole lot of time grinding for sure.

Sometimes you just gotta keep making your point over & over.

It's like when you have to install a battery and a damn loud siren in gang boxes to keep them where you put them.

Now Thats Funny , I can remember several times when I could have used that. One time I was in a paper mill that the in house millwrights did not like the fact that we were there. They moved all of our gang boxes and hid them in any dark corner they could find. It took my crew of 6 men till noon to find all of our tools.

I use to have the heck mill that was built on the old large dewalt/black and decker , You could bevel pipe and the out side of a circle but not the inside .Flat plate it would eat it up , even with a broken insert (they are replaceable and I didn't want to put one odd one on) it gave you an excellent bevel .

I'm not a pipe welder so have never used it in that capacity. In reality it would be difficult to use on 4 inch or smaller pipe due to the physical size of the mill. Flat pate or angle steel oh boy does it go to town and the chips coming out are hot.

I was seriously considering buying it when I looked at it and how much they cost new then I spent about 5 minutes doing research and when I looked at it again it was sold. All in about 5 minutes from the time to saw this thread and looked at the tool and finished up my research. Oh well there is always other deals.

Right at 45 seconds I'd guess. I was going slow as didn't want the bevel to look to chattered. If you go slow it is really smooth. Got to have the piece to be beveled anchored firmly too.

Yeah I missed out on that one. Probably for the best as I have too many other projects that need funding before I would/could ever need one of these Good to know they exist.

Another thing ought to be mentioned in addition to long pants is to make sure yer properly tucked and completely zipped. The mere thought of that tool in proximity is enough to make a man rethink his chosen occupation.

I guess that tool is no different than juggling running chain saws!
