Re: Miller 255 or HTP Pro Pulse 200?

Got my Pro Pulse 200 September of 2017. It came with a 24ak 12 foot gun for steel, the 8' 26ak gun for Aluminum, 150 amp Tig torch 12' with push button switch, rollers for aluminum steel and flux core wire.

I got it to tig weld stainless steel sanitary tubing. Pulse mig weld 304 stainless steel, 304 Stainless Steel to Mild steel.

Changing the gun to the tig torch is sometimes a pain, on the Pro Pulse 300 or my Thermal Arc 181I,252I you just change the polarity by moving the dinse connector wish they had a upgrade for the Pro Pulse 200 other then that welder works.

Only welded about three feet of Aluminum last October fixing a Aluminum silage trailer as the Dairy I work for has five semi trailers.

Haha ya, Johns work is in a different zip code! I couldn't weld like that in my dreams.. His shop isn't to far away from us, thought about going down there and talk shop but I'm sure he's very busy guy.. Maybe if I had $4500.00 for one of his custom intakes??

Placed the order for the HTP 200 today. Got the steel and aluminum gun setups, consumables, hoses, regulator, some spools of wire, the hand control slider etc. Jeff gave me a great deal. This should be way better and way more capable than what I had, and will save me some space and money.

Welcome to the family, brother! I don't have the hand controller since I don't do much aluminum, but maybe I'll get it later.

Thank you. I figured I might as well just get the hand slider in case I ever want to use it. My issue will be finding the time to learn how to use all these features. I have a project list stacked up to last me about 5+ years as it is, but you never know when your going to need to weld something. I will be adding a double stack cart to the project list I suppose now that I picked a welder.

For basic steel MIG welding there's not much to learn. Set your Pinch, Burnback (start out low with those two, and then go up little by little as you deem necessary), pre- & post-flow, and run the synergic program you need. For aluminum there's some more to it if using the hot-start and crater fill without the slider, but with the slider, it should be a breeze. Check PM's.

I'd like to see this thing run some dual shield flux core stainless. I'm trying to avoid trimix. :-/
