If stainless is too hot in the sun, then ALL metals are too hot in the sun. Why not go to stone or wood instead?

I use to solder the corners G90 Zinc Galvanized. Its messy but the end product looks good. In production mode, I switched to MIG welding them. By grinding away the zinc, there is minimal fume and mess. Getting a good, tight joint is key to welding these quick and easy. Alittle blackening stain on the ends and its good to go.

Countersink then rivet with flush rivets.

Clearly some of you have never been to Paris, where nearly every espresso bar has a zinc counter.
