One thing that I really dislike is that years ago the windows ran the fulllength of the door. Then they partioned off thefront corner for mirror mounting. On this model they leave the window partitioned but then mount the mirror on the door with an offset bracket to get it back up to the height it would be atif they mounted it on the door.
Oh yeah, and that grille is terrible.

Pretty ugly, not that I'd buy one anyway. Gonna keep rockin' the Cummins 12 valve till it can't be rebuilt anymore.

Just because it can pull it doesn’t mean you should.

I got a new to me one: 1995 K3500 6.5 Turbo diesel, 4L80E, 4.11 ratio. Just had new 3000 LB springs in rear. Hydraulic tailgate, and Knapehide utility body. It isn't rust free, the dog legs on the front fenders are bad. 68000 miles, a one owner, City of Philadelphia.

Mine cost less. It does have a pleasant face. GM has been going for the "space predator" look in recent years. I hope that designer dies, or moves on soon.

For decades: Japanese Auto Stylists took inspiration
[poached] the best from Detroit and Europe.

Now that Japan [Asia] has a major share of the auto
industry - Detroit is the 'style tail', and not that good
    at wagging.

To maintain the persona that America leads - we rely on
retro ideals - Camaro, Mustang, Charger - essentially,
the same tune, played on better instruments.

America still commands the best instruments - but, we
need much better composers - all the way to the top -

Those mirrors that come straight out up high block a lot of the view toward that corner/direction. Chevys massive hoods make them pretty cumbersome off road, plus their seats are too low.

Is 'pound feet' of torque a valid term?

It’s just feet multiplied by pounds so the order shouldn’t matter, but ft lbs sounds better to me.

    X2

Since the '80s it seems styling has been in a downward spiral, it is so bad the Mitsubishi FE/FG series are starting to look pretty good; also the Mitsubishi are built more basic, easier to work on, the downside is parts are hard to get.

cept dont use " / " just pd ft or ft pd.

and in many places a cdl is technically required to drive that truck when hooked to any trailer that puts its combined gvw over 26k

for me and most other truck buyers a truck gvw of 11,900 is perfect. tow capacity of 14k. gets you the most load capacity with out having a cdl.

and just my rant, most new truck are ridiculous. more horsepower and trq than most semi tractors, riding on light duty axles and brakes. if used to 'capacity' breakdown and repair wouldn't be cost effective. i would guess even the factory warranty doesn't cover commercial use or some such but i dont know.
