Anyone have the Klutch Steel Welding Table with Tool Kit?

Is it worth $199 vs over $400 for the Strong Hand?

    Thx,
    Rich

Could you please include links to the precise products you are comparing? The comments below are made considering the pictures shown when KLUTCH STEEL WELDING TABLE and STRONG HAND WELDING TABLE are punched in Google.

Telling by the pictures, KLUTCH is much thinner than Strong Hand, which means the first will distort more with heath and will not stand up to heavy pounding or clamping for heavy material restrain when welded.

I also like th Strong Hand system more, because if you ever ruin one of the slats, you could replace it. If you ruin the top of the KLUTCH table, the whole thing needs to be replaced.

With the Strong Hand you can also move the slats to get a wider table for bigger proyects (say gate, for example).

If you have the budget, I would go with the Strong Hand. The one I built for me looks like the Strong Hand sans the hole pattern and the cost of the materials an labor justifies buying in this case.

This one is $179 plus shipping. Says 4mm top

Compared to the Nomad for $139

It's probably not as good as the $440 Strong Hand, but half the price

I think the one where you can move the slats is a much higher price point

If you're looking at a small affordable welding table, most folks buy this one:

I have one and it works as expected. Good quality for the money.

Ok, now I fully understand. In this case, with both tables being pretty much clones of each other, I would go with the cheapest one. The expensive one (StrongHands) doesn't seem to be much different than the cheap one. The toolkit for the Strong Hands is not pictured but assuming you get the same items, I would surely go with Klutch

they are the same table even the stamping forms for the base are identical... just price tag thats changed as with many American companies when they outsource to China they still want to charge the made in America price... at least NT is being honest and pricing accordingly ya might as well get the better price if that light of a table will work for you......

BTW the "Nomad" is the same as harbor freights $69 table already mentioned by someone else.. but with an F-clamp and a couple magnets included

I looked at the table with took kit today. It is $199 in the store. the fixtures utilizes nuts to hold them down. It has a welded frame underneath the 4 mm sheet. clamps seem stout. the sheet metal top seems strong as it sits.

My only concern would be with warpage especially if heavy welding is done while an item is fixed in place.
Otherwise, seems like a nice deal with the tooling. Without the tooling, you could probably make multiples 2x3's out of much thicker plate.

They have a $20 off coupon bringing it down to 159, the coupon code is 266361 . I posted about it in another thread and it included a link, seemed like a great deal to me but the thickness of the top and shipping ($40) scared me off. Looks to be good if you have a store in your area.
