    WTB Aluminum drops

Im looking for someone to sell me some thick , 1" to 4" thick round and bar aluminum drops for use as props and chilling.
It does not matter what type of aluminum it is and it don't have to be pretty as i just want them for props / chill blocks.
USPS has " if it fits it ships " boxes in medium for $14 and large for $18 so shipping is not bad.
Im looking for sizes and shapes that would be good for props .
PM me if you can help me out.
    Thanks

Check out eBay. I’ve seen them on there. I get lots of drops that way.

it would appear that the sellers on eBay are buying new stock and sawing it up into little pieces and selling them for a fortune.
not the way i prefer to go.

So Bevis28... what kinds of scrap yards are near you??? pretty much all of the little outfits will let you buy stuff there... or at least the guys around here do... I mean that's how they make their money as long as you know what you want and what it's really worth you should check them out.

Either that or make yourself a propane furnace to start melting cans into the shapes you want

Im in podunk cocoa florida and theres a fab shop here but the owner is not interested in selling anything as he says he has someone that buys all his scrap and drops.
I have asked once but won't again.

exactly the guy buying his scraps is probably a local scrap yard... usually they make a deal with these smaller fab shops just to ensure a steady flow of scrap so the yard always has metal moving. I've gotten all kinds of good usable(to me) stuff from the small scrap yards that came from different fab shops around the area.
