    Newbie from Oklahoma

Hi everyone! I'm looking forward to learning all I can from the folks on the forum. I'm getting started in welding as a "retirement" job (just small stuff to keep busy). I appreciate the opportunity to get to know all the members here.

Welcome, great bunch of guys here, probably many hundreds of years of experience in many fields, lots of opinions and approaches to different situations, sometimes some may be blatantly right or wrong, but as often as not every idea will work, just a different approach.

Welcome from GA , I will start with a little advice . Buy the best, absolute best machine that you can personally afford . It will work well and always have resale value ! Any one of the big 3 will serve you well . And stay away from the Chinese junk ! More than a few beginners have been burned with that stuff .
