I have a need for a circle cutter for a torch and am going to make one. Anybody have a picture of what you have? Thanks!

I use a Hypertherm kit. It's OK. Just OK. I generally use a drop or paint bucket, beer can, pvc pipe drop.....whatever is within 50 feet.I also use "molds" from 911 for rectangles, squares, circles or freehand, whatever is required. Drill a center hole and use a stainless fishing lead attached to the torch, if need be.

No pics but all I did was take an 1-1/2" diameter bolt 3-4" long, cut a slot wide enough for the barrels to fit in (won't work for a side by side, over and under only) use the nut to clamp it to the barrels. Weld a piece of 1/4" roundstock to the top of the bolt head bent at 90 deg with a point on it. Nice and heavy so it stays in the center mark........Mike

For cutting circles, I built a rotating table. And made an attachment to go on the torch.

The torch attachment works great on the rotating table. But kind of a PITA on large objects!

This is one I built for a larger torch and then modified it to fit my small Victor.

I have a assortment of pipe narrow pieces that I use for guides. Works freat and if I don't have the size I need I cut freehand. I've been cutting for a while so , no problem.

    Re: Torch circle cutter

That torch holder I showed is made of 5/16 inch key stock because that is what I had at the time, but it would work much better with 1/4 inch key stock. The center pin slide is just two small pieces of angle welded together with a hole and a nut tacked over it for the lock screw. That holder will cut holes from about 1 1/16" to 38". And while it takes a little practice, it will cut very uniform holes consistently. I actually made that one to cut some 4"x1 3/8" steel wheels for a heavy tool box.

Those are real decent. I've run several of similar design.
