    Zenith carb fuel inlet threads

I bought a new zenith carb a few months ago and it has been working great. I noticed there was some fuel spilled beneath it today. Figured it was flooding. I found the inlet threads to be cracked where the elbow screws in. Is there anyway to fix it other than buy another carb?

Short a a new carb you might wish to JB weld your elbow in. Just make sure you allow it to fully cure before use.

That’s what I was going to try. Just trying to see if anyone else had any suggestions.

You can take it all apart and silver solder the crack. Teflon tape is the chief reason for cracks like that, dont use it.

I went ahead and ordered a new carb. At least I won’t be worried about it leaking and catching fire when I’m away from the truck.
