    Warped cast iron

My kitchen range top has sagged in the middle from heat. I presume heat could soften it enough to bend it back.

    I'm open to suggestions.

I have a big weed burner torch, oxy acetylene torch and lots of welders. I do not have an oven I could heat to red hot with.

Tried to find a new one online No success. Electrolux EW3LGF65GBA

I staightened exactly 1 and it was a PIA it got messed up cause my ex thought it was a great idea to use it while we were camping with her young kids along etc.. young as in 8 yoa to 15, she put it on rocks over the cooking fire and it did work good but without support in the middle it sagged.... her kids stokin the fire to inferno didn't help

I set it upside down on my old coal forge and kept it steady cherry red then set a 4" thick 16x16 paver on it off the fire... it worked but the next time it happened I just welded a replacement up outa steel and put that on the stove then made a camping one for her outa 1/2" steel rod... was heavy but it never warped at least not till I got away from her....

imo;i'd dig a pit fill it with charcoal and heat it to bending temp and go to it. localized heating/cooling may cause it to crack;finding a replacement could be difficult.

I think Hobbytime has the winning response. I failed to find it on the same site as you did find it. Right is $147
Left is substantially more. I could waste a lot of time and fail, then I gotta buy the part.

I have a $128 credit at Parts Town, but they don't have this.
