Their list price is much higher. Some retailers are selling at a higher price. I suspect that is an introductory price you are looking at, especially since the 25% tariff has hit ESAB and Miller on this stuff as well and the prices on the ESAB unit were posted before this tariff was on the horizon.
As far as mail in, ESAB is much in the same boat since so many so called dealers are only online with them. The brick and mortar stores that can sell them, don't stock them, at least in my area and my travels across the South East. Even if they do, they likely won't be at the discount price, but closer to full retail. If they don't stock them, they don't provide loaners, IF they can fix it. I have an ESAB, and have gotten the cold shoulder about things I needed in way of parts even from the name brand store where I bought it from.
