This may be a dumb question, but when cutting bar/round stock with an angle grinder and thin cutting disc, should the disc be cutting in the direction of travel or against it? I've always cut with the disc moving against the direction of travel because moving the grinder away from me seemed more natural, but the discs tend to grab and the grinder wants to climb up the part, even on thin sheet. However, I thought I had read that it was dangerous to cut with the wheel moving in the direction of travel. The grabbing and climbing seems dangerous to me. Which one is right?
