I have been kicking around the idea of picking up a battery impact. I already have dewalt 20v tools. Wondering if anyone had opinions on either the 1/2 or 3/8 impacts.
I dunno I've been hearing rumors about HF stuff getting better....remember when Japanese stuff was crap?I hate to say this but my son in law as a "gag" for a b'day gift, purchased a new from Harbor Freight "Hercules" branded 3/8" cordless impact as my Dewalt is worn out. It came with the 2.5Ah battery pack and he purchased the additional 5.0Ah battery with it. Total cost was $139.00 for both on introductory sale pricing.
I'm sorry to say this thing will easily match my older Dewalt, (NiCd batteries) in both stamina, and torque output. I only use it to drive square and hex head screws of all sizes but it really does a good job at less than 1/2 the price of the name brand tools.
Got to be a "one off" scenario from that place.
