I have been kicking around the idea of picking up a battery impact. I already have dewalt 20v tools. Wondering if anyone had opinions on either the 1/2 or 3/8 impacts.
I have 2 of the dewalts , both 20 volt. One is brushless and the other has brushes. The brushless is quite a bit more$ but about double the torque. The 1/2" brushless will remove a semi trailer lugnut in most instances.
The brushless 3/8" impact WRENCH would probably take car lugs off, but would struggle on light truck ones. I use my impact driver, 1/4" hex, with a 3 /8" adapter for smaller stuff and it's pretty good. The only issue I have had with the 20V dewalt impact driver is breaking the shanks on 3/8" or 1/4" drive adapters.
