Not sure this is in the right area on this forum but I thought this area was most applicable.
Working with some 1/8" x 1.5" cold rolled flat bar last night. Needed to bend 90° in it. Set it up in my vise and pounded over with 4lb sledge (no heat applied). Just before 90° it split right along the bend line. Just wondering if there are different kinds of CR steel that are more malleable and less susceptible to this breakage.
