Cost of aluminum

Aluminum was never really cheap. If heavy tariffs are added, at what point will you need an armed guard for the scrap metal container? The 1/4" plate on the bottom is probably drop-off, but the half inch plate "bricks" are scrap. I've already got enough of that for chill bars/ plates.

Welcome to Fort Obnoxious. Check out these ingots of aluminum bullion. That's an expensive gate.

Thf last time aluminum was same as steel was 1976 . After price is up up and up. I did build thousands of doors out of aluminum after 1977 steel was only was fog most fab work.
I was still buying about 20,000 to 40,000 pounds a year till 1984. After it just to costly

It one best materials because it low cost to recycle.
