does anybody have any tips welding with 6010? I can do stright stringers, padding, but when it comes to welding 6010 vertical i cant get the hang of it, or my weld looks like crap any kinda tips will help
Actually 6010 or 11 is about the easiest type of rod to run vertically. Just taking a wild a$$ guess from what i see a lot of people do is that they put too much up angle in the rod. You talking about running vertically up, right?
6010 is one of the few rods allowed to go vertical down. It will weld either way. One who hasn't mastered vertical up shouldn't be trying vertical down in my opinion. But then my opinion means nothing.
