Going from 6013 to 7014 Surprise!!!
So over the past few moths ive been struggling trying to teach myself how to weld with a crappy stick welder and some Forney 6013 rod , beating my head against a proverbial wall. with constant inclusions and horribly inconsistent bead.
So a few days ago i was at Tractor Supply and picketed up some Hobart 7014 and thought i would give it a try. And all of the sudden with the 7014, im making a nice bead.. with fewer inclusions and a more consistent width.
What the heck just happened??
Is it the brand? or the rod? or my crappy welder?? I thought 6013 was suppose to be easier.
