Well after struggling with my big ol' welding hood trying to fit my head between pipes and other assorted obstacles with no luck I fashioned my own welding hood out of cutting goggles, an auto darkening lense from another hood, a leather hood flap, some sticky velcro strips and about 5 minutes.
Here are the pics. I call it my "Rat Hood" because I feel like a rat crawling through the holes in these ships.
And for those who are going to question it I have a welding cap, and respirator. that protects my face and head almost 100% from sunburn and sparks. This thing is really only for certain spots that can't be accessed any other way. Not all day welding.
