My Millermatic 211 tends to hunt and peck in the puddle. It’ll hit and burn back halfway to the contact tip. I’ve made sure it isn’t slipping on the roller and when i manually set the feed it works great.
It only seems to do it on Autoset. It’s like the welder is trying to find the right settings as it goes, but never levels out.
I was skeptical about the idiot knob to begin with, but in some way i wanted it to work for days I’m going through various thickness of metal back and forth. It would have been helpful there.
Just me or anyone else have issues with Autoset?
