Hello, I have a question about the price of steel. First off I don't know jack about jack. Just being honest. I am brand new to welding and i stopped by the only metal supply yard in town today to get some prices.
3x3 square tub by 20ft @ 1/4 inch = $174.39 each
3ft x 5ft plate at 1/2 inch = $490.50
Are these fair market prices or do I need to look at maybe driving to a bigger town to try and do better?
