WeldWeb,
Long time reader, first time poster. I used to work at a welding shop making stainless slides for playground equipment. I had an oxy-acetalyne set up at home at the time and the Praxair guy overheard me saying I need to refill my bottle. He said to just bring it in and he would swap it out for like $50 for the hydrotest and the gas. He swapped it out with one on the truck and away I went. Fastforward 10 years and I need to refill it. Here are the markings. Is this going to be able to be refilled? I don't know what linde air is now but I got it from Praxair? It is 50" tall and about 9" (maybe ~250cf from my research)
I called a local AirGas company and he said that every tank larger than a 125cf is a leased bottle and I need documentation to prove that I own it to refill it. Is this true? I know it will have to be hydrotested which is not a big deal. I am just worried I shot myself in the foot by taking to him.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
