I am working on a trailer that is used on the farm to haul hay. Its hub seals are leaking so i am going to put on new brakes and seals. I was thinkig of packing bearings and not useing oil in hubs. It will never go over 10 miles from the farm.
For ag equipment and even some construction yard equipment you need a grease that is immune to time, what ever that grease is. Something that doesn't set there and get hard. The bearing that was packed "just awhile back" was probably more like 6 years ago.
