Available for pre-order & save on shipping (truck freight). Mention code HTPSouthTexas when ordering. No additional discounts, but it keeps track of orders referred by me. Edit: I should be getting mine Thanksgiving weekend or there about. Click on picture to go to the HTP website page for this machine.

They do have the different packages available. I had linked the upgraded package with the heavier-duty Tweco #4 MIG gun, but I changed [the link] to the basic steel package that uses the HTP 36 Series 300A gun, which is $2999.

Got it in. Sadly didn't have much time to do anything special other than make sure it works and makes a spark. Next round of days-off during Dec 18-24 I'll get to play with it a lot more and test out all the features. This is the standard steel package with the 300A 36-series 10ft MIG gun. Click the image to check it out on the HTP America webpage.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them without having the machine in front of me. :)

Looks like it should spray transfer with ease. Lots of voltage and wfs.
Absolutely it should have zero problems spraying left and right.

HTP just released info that there will be a software upgrade later this month for added functionality for the 2800i. The update adds Pulsed-Spray Arc to the MIG synergic programs for FREE, making it an even better value! $2999 for a 300A pulse MIG, including aluminum pulse synergic programs is unheard of at this level of machine quality!

ya thats my biggest complaint with fronius. they need to put more advance features on their single phase mig

The arc on it is better than my Pro Pulse 220MTS or Pro Pulse 300.

The new 2800i looks to be a great machine. Had they announced it earlier in the year( along with unlocking the pulse feature ), my Invertig 251 would have a gray MIG partner, rather than blue( Millermatic 255 ).

I hear ya, but they can't really announce stuff until it's actually ready. Sell the 255. Miller's have great re-sale value anyways. :) Get you a better pulse/double-pulse MIG! :D

I wish I could answer, but there are no definitive dates that have been disclosed about the pre-order for this machine. I would take advantage of it before it's suddenly gone.

I remember the 1st time trying it with my Stel S300 machine and I was like whoa! this is much faster than even plasma arc gouging!! :D

As good as the 255 performs, it would need to be a very significant performance increase to go through the time/expense of replacing it. Very happy with the Miller. The only pulse MIG I've used so far is on aluminum with a spool gun, and it's excellent. Haven't gotten a bottle of gas suitable for pulsed steel yet, but plan to. For a good hot weld on steel, I use dual shield( with C25 ) for now. Really like the dual shield so far, first that I've used it.

I hear ya. Just another option to consider. Hard to explain in words over the internet just how nice it welds on all the different synergic programs especially with the slider control to vary the amps/volts on-the-fly.

It's almost like cheating in some regards. :)

So I just checked the HTP website on my end, and they were not supposed to leave my discount code (HTPSouthTexas) activated for this machine because it already has a discount on the pre-order shipping, but they left it active as of the time of this post. If you're on the fence about this machine, get it now before they realize it and remove the discount code! :)
