I have this cart its pretty sturdy on decent castors that i dont ever use around the garage. I just ordered a second machine and want to create a two machine cart from this. Is it ok to just cut two holes in the top of the cart for bottle storage. Will have two bottles now with tig and mig machines.

I agree.

Google welding cart images for inspiration. Pick a design that appeals to you that you feel is within your ability to build using materials available whether on hand or purchased.

Totally agree with you on the inspiration part i google stuff all day long but this cart only costs free fifty. Maybe I will play around with some bracing with spare parts around the garage and go from there as a temporary use, either that or remove the top and create some sort of plasma table for temp use yet again. I am just getting back to spending time in my garage and the equipment really has me on a budget. I build a smaller welding table a while back when i started welding that would hold the welder and plasma cutter on bottom shelf but like everyone says you never know exactly what you need until you start welding. I can probably make changes to that cart as opposed to messing with this one.

When learning it is never a waste of time.

You'll learn what works and what doesn't.

I wouldn't buy that cart to work on but as you mentioned it is free, so have at it.
Free is the best part about it. Seems like everything i build out of metal is so expensive. I will update this post when i do something with the table if i do.

Free is good but it seems every time I attempt to make something work I realize it would be EASIER, faster and often cheaper starting from scratch and ending up with a better product.

I hear ya but making good decisions is my specialty especially when being frugal. I honestly thing i can get it done for nothing other than filler, metal I already own and maybe beefier castors. thats how its goes in my head at least lol
