Hi I'm Michael and I'm new to this forum. This thread caught my attention just because I've also been there in a similar situation a few days back. I graduated in engineering and took up a TIG welding course at Weldtech training institute. Hope its not needed to explain my passion for welding. Immediately on course completion I got a job in a leading construction at GTA. I'm making a considerable amount of money from this job , and most importantly I love this job. I think you should register at Texas where they have these job consultants. As mentioned, you can browse in indeed jobs and other portals like kijiji, headhunter and Canada immigrants . But make sure your certification is valid. I have a valid pressure vessel welding certification which helped to get this job !! Gud luck

Go to where there is a oil boom South Texas, West Texas or Texas Gulf Coast where the Refineries are located. Look at Indeed jobs

NEED HELP!!! Certified and Ready to work, who do I talk to?

I need some help guys! I just got out of school and I'm certified in 7018, MIG, Dualshield, and Innershield (232) in all positions and unlimited thickness. Also got certified on 6" pipe using 6010 and TIG root, and 4" pipe using TIG root, for all positions. I'm ready to get to work. Im located on the central coast in Hollister, CA, and there isnt much work around here that falls under pipleline welding and fitting. I am willing to go where the work is, so who do i need to talk to? I want to weld pipe and very willing to do the grunt work to earn my place.
