Re: The Ultimate Truth Well I finished the install this weekend in Chattanooga. I drove up from Tallahassee with my brother and met my parents on the way. I had a great time and couldn't of done it with out them. There are some great people in Chattanooga and they were all willing to help with the install, even though it was pushing 100 degrees outside. local artist Isaac Duncan III welding bolts onto the pad It will be in this location for 2 years and yes I got inside it one last time... haha There are many more photos in my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...3832224&type=1

Re: The Ultimate Truth Very nice. looks like something that should be outside Seattle's EMP. with all the rain we get and all.
Re: The Ultimate Truth Blue, hmmm... must be a male sculpture... The shape reminds me of a large marine plant or animal or maybe an amoeba but larger. Very organic and multi cell like with the circles as theme. I have rough cut torched off at both ends ~ 8' 2 7/8" posts. I clean up the one UP end so I can make a nice fence... I have maybe 100 circles about an inch thick laying around in a trough each one rough on one side from the torch cut and smooth on the other side from the abrasive saw.... I've often wondered what to do with them, can't seem to throw them away to scrap... maybe integrate them into a gate? Inspired Very keen results, what's next?

Re: The Ultimate Truth Ohhhh, the ultimate Truth I thought I read ultimate tooth. Like Mutley's The Truth looks good though. Hopefully the Truth will set Nzbrock free.

Would an abrasive chop saw have distorted the Sch. 10 pipe or was it another reason that you avoided putting that much heat into the smaller circles? Thanks for posting the great photos! Eric The abrasive saw I have access to is terrible. The cut will be off by as much as 1/4" and it would take just as long. I would also be covered in sweat and metal dust by the end of 10 cuts, not to mention 200-300 that I did. I compared it to time rolling, welding, and grinding and it was much better. I can also use the cold cut saw in a clean, air-conditioned shop, so it was a much more comfortable experience. The limit on the roller was 3" diameter. And even rolling circles that small was rather difficult. Then I would have to grind the inside weld down using a die grinder. I even priced out having all of my smaller circles cut by the metal supplier, came out to be $2500....

Re: The Ultimate Truth Amazing Noah!!! Welcome to the site. I love your work. "Future Vision" is really great too. Nice site. Gonna add it to my bookmark collection for sure. Can't wait to see more!
Re: The Ultimate Truth I have heard of artists who put themselves into their work but I think this is the first time I have actually SEEN it! Stunning.
Re: The Ultimate Truth Nice! I like how you transferred the curves for your armature.
Re: The Ultimate Truth Your art is some nice stuff. I have a local artist around the corner and it looks like giant lego's. Just plain and boring in my eyes.
