You literally have no idea what you're talking about. These aren't motherboards on PCs.

Assessing a cost to repair a board isn't straightforward, I don't flat rate. Sometimes people send me boards that are burned up and other times I receive boards that aren't burned up, as you can imagine to ones that are burned/missing traces will require a little more time and effort which increases the price. Also, some of the components can be proprietary and are not possible to get replacements for. If you can send me a picture of your board I can provide an estimate. As for reprogramming, when I have access to the firmware I do program some of them if it is needed.

I am other sites where they have big problem with companies try sell goods and services.
A member can give links and sell things even services. But had on group for a few years and just try help not make living from the group.

The site say online with the ads they sell. If did not the members would have pay.

I repair boards and the 30XP is one I've dealt with. If the switching regulator blew it's likely because there is another component or components that are shorted.

Sometimes it pays to call around to the larger repair facilities and see what they have used. I found a main board for a smoked Hyp 45. I'll pm you a couple of larger operations.

Nothing got derailed; you asked a somewhat complex question without giving enough information (on a subject only tangentially related to welding), then didn't come back for a day to consider the answers a few members had provided, then complain without looking into what occurred (and why) here in the meanwhile, none of which affected the rest of the thread's validity. You still apparently haven't done anything with the information that was already provided.

Sooo... like I posted before - I'd like to see some pictures of the board in question along with the damage you mentioned.

Can't really give ya any advice other than what I have you in a previous post till I have more info to go on. Sounds like the 'fet experienced too much current and popped. Can't begin to hypothesize why without knowing what the rest of the circuit looks like.

Edit: as for companies that refurbish these boards, I don't have any experience with any, so any suggestions I give would be based off the same Google search you've probably already done.

I ended up getting a replacement board from hyper but it was like pulling teeth.

This is one company that does - answered in post #2. They have a list of all the boards they work on listed by manufacturer.

but if you scroll up to post #3 you will see that this member is responsible for the thread going south.

Lately it's been a real problem on this board. He seems to infiltrate nearly every conversation and side Steer it.

There is a lot of good information on this board if you wade through the occasional idiot.
