Thanks Pat. This young lady was amazing and professional. I could tell she enjoyed her profession and wants to be the best. I thought she would enjoy it. She did and couldn't wait to show everyone. Her joy and smile made it worth it.

Love the turkey. Would love to see a profile of your turkey to see what you used for the head. Too cute and just in time for Thanksgiving which is around the corner.

Next time maybe try to fan out the knives a little bit more by cutting some a little shorter on the ends to make a semi-circle of tail feathers?

'' These are really cool, hope you don't mind if I copy some of your designs. I'm not artistic so not very good at coming up with my own creations.''

Duplicate all you want , I encourage it. It's fun and may even keep you out of the ginmill ! You can still drink at home.

As for coming up with your own creations, you need a bunch of assorted pieces on hand. Silverware comes in more sizes, shapes, and designs that I have ever seen. As I mentioned here before, GOODWILL is a great source at ten cents each. Let me know if I can help.
As for a ground, I have 10 gauge stranded wire on a alligator clip. I use the machine ground clamp to the wire and the use the clip to the piece. It really works well.

"If she doesn't like it I know the money will make her real happy !" This goes well beyond creative genius. She won't receive anything that even comes close to what you made for her. She'll like it for sure!!! Long after the $$$ is gone.... she'll have this little set from her Uncle & Aunt BD1.

Thanks Mick. I made it for a buddy and shipped it to him without knowing . Upon confirming delivery day,I posted it on Facebook for sale at four payments of $24.99. His wife immediately responded she wanted it. A hour later I responded it was sold. She was pissed and asked what I could do. I had her sit it out for another hour and then told her to go outside and get her house mail. It was there and she went ape. A great feeling mate.thanks again,

BD1> The Indian is incredibly creative. You should gather up photos from all of your silverware projects and add them to this thread so maybe others will hop on with what they've been fabricating from flatware. That driftwood centerpiece of the couple fishing is totally awesome, http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ghlight=spoons.
