    Yeah there are local laser welders that our mold shops use to repair or alter molds when you need to "add some steel back" so I am familiar with the use of it at least, but never actually seen it.

    Probably what’s in the future. Once the Chinese start making them they’ll be cheaper.

    Ran these beads with my buddies laser machine about 25 years ago. $50,000 machine at the time. He does mostly micro tool and die buildup. His newer machines are $150k+ Crazy safety precautions for lasers that are out of cabinet. Reflective stuff likes to start fires in the strangest places
