My hose repair kits all have the vise grip style crimper. Not nearly as effective as this hammer style. They just work every time.

Oetiker is the standard for food service pressure lines /soda etc. think my old Ford pickup had a few here and there also.... if you never heard of them they are similar to Shark bite clamps.

I have the Western set that has 1/4" and 3/8" sized hose crimp holes on the vice grips. https://www.amazon.com/SEPTLS312CK26...0962683&sr=8-1 Also have this universal bench mounted crimp tool that will crimp multiple sizes, including 1/2". Re: Hose Crimping Pliers? Usually the same place you get your fittings from. Good ones aren't cheap. I usually buy a new hose, its cheaper. One of my welding suppliers does torch, regulator, and hose repairs. Maybe someone near you does too. Best of luck
Hose Crimping Pliers? Hi Wondering where I could buy a hose crimper for crimping ferrels on Oxy Act. and air line hose etc. I see some of the Vicegrip plier type But they seem to be limited to 1/4" hose. I would like to be able to crimp up to 1/2" hose. Thanks for any advice.
