Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. yes its held so far but dont be fooled. if the tie and bedding underneath are in good shape then i dont think much stress is put on the weld.
Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. I don't look much anymore but looks like it's holding.
Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. helper i had a while ago did this lovely work. cant really blame him as he doesnt know much
Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. Modified chopper frame on Facebook. Zoom in and see all the porosity and poor welding. Attachment 1784781
Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. I agree Till fails then have go looking for some one that job right. Then they will pay a lot. Just think of all the JB Weld that fails or bad welds. The quotes starts with 1) removing jb or ad Weld 2) cleaning get read for Weld 3) welding 4) machining 5) finished and paint. Then will ask can do by hour You could longer that quote your choice. I have so many times in my life The good news as do it again. I got real good at removing JB Weld with a smile ☺ in my pocket book. Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. Maybd bondo and some flat back paint would make look better. It will cover all bad welds. Just ask contractor board after Noth Ridge earthquake. Dave Originally Posted by Mac's Crew Hope they fired the grinder and painter too.

Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. No just saying what someone who really took pride in their work would do. You've improved a great deal but you've also been critical of coworkers welds despite them maybe having less experience. What's good for the Goose is good for the gander.

Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. They put like 3 layers of paint on anyway. 3 different colors usually I believe. Red, yellow then grey
Re: Welding Fail! post pics here. Painters will do that part. They get it all smooth

That's one of the things I don't like about new grinding wheels especially on curved pieces. They tend to cut in too aggressively.

U can have 5/8 gap I believe with ceramic
