    Thanks for all of the compliments! If I was going to do it again I would definitely use a thinner material. It took a lot of muscle to form all of the petals. Plus it is rather top heavy.

    I had about 7hours in it start to finish.

    It looks like you just cut it off of a bush and laid it down. It looks like a real rose.

    That is very nice work, I have been trying to make leaves like that and come up less that great.
    I started making metal flowers for the yard. I will have to work on roses
    this is my first attempt

    Metal Rose

    Hey Everyone,

    I made this Rose a year ago. Thought you guys would be interested.
    I made it all out of scrap steel I had lying around. The petals and leaves are maybe 14-16guage and the stem is .25" rod.
    I finished the petals with a heat patina and the leaves with guilders paste. Then I clear coated the entire rose.

    I'm always looking for feedback so feel free to tell me what you think.
