Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos you might find this thread useful. good discussion on how to capture better arc shots. http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...=welding+video
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos Do you got any god advice on camera setup, shade etc? No sorry. I have no experience in this area. The guy who arguably does it the best is Jody Collier over at weldingtipsandtricks.com. Lanse (Chucke2009 on youtube) also does a good job with arc shots. Maybe these people can help, and maybe they won't (trade secrets??), I am not sure.
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos Thanks! Seems like there is a lot of knowledge on this forum. Fun to get a view of the welding “over there”. You use the ASME and in Europe we use ISO standards. We all weld the same things but with different approaches…
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos Welcome to the forum.
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos Good feedback! I have to slap my camera man that was shooting this with he’s phone. Do you got any god advice on camera setup, shade etc?
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos I wish you had more shots of (and better focus on) the puddle. I am not a photographer, so I can't tell you how to fix it, but the camera is flaking out with the arc flashes and the viewer doesn't really get a good picture of the puddle.
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos Here is the unlisted preview of the 6g 7018 open root. For the moment it can only be seen through this link. I would like some feedback on before I make it public. 7018 Welding Northern Sweden Style
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos Hahaha I have had that in mind for my new video that I will release later this week. And it will be no Abba on that. Just some talk and instructions with english subtitles. The video is on 6g pipe 7018 open root.
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos We weld like this a lot. Everything that don’t need’s a clean root. It is a very fast way of welding stainless. No need for any root gas. And it can take more impurity than the TIG does. And of course x-ray quality. Now it might sound like we only stick weld, but we run a lot of TIG to. Often this method is run downhill to increase production. A 5G pipe will turn out no different than the 6G. It works fine in all positions. Sorry for bad English
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos whats w/ that music ? the grinder sounds better than it. at least be half way loyal to your fellow countrymen and put some Abba on, or break out some black licorice
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos I've been welding pipe for a living for 35+ years and have never done a stainless open butt with stick root. I can't say that I would want to, either. What are you crazy Swedes building with that process? Do one on 5G and let's see how the bottom turns out. . . .
Re: Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos link to video
Northern Sweden Weldning - welding videos Hello! I recently started a youtube channel ” Northern Sweden Welding” and that is what it is. I have posted one video on welding thin wall (2x114mm) stainless tube with stick. This is a common way to weld stainless tube in Sweden, because it is faster than TIG. How it is in your country do use stick for this to or is it just TIG? Anyway the first video was not the last I will do. For the moment I am working on a 7018 6G stick welding video that I will upload any day now. I would like all the feedback I could get both on welding and video. Kind regards from Sweden
