Ford Tough Local search and rescue use them. Prolly to run a beer up the mountain to you until the fog lifts for the chopper.

Re: Ford Tough Yep, there are also tracked models and ones with mulchers on em'... sky's the limit I've seen some of these things go on a slope a billy goat would be scared of

It seems a big investment, but if steep side hill is the problem, OSHA must love it.

Re: Ford Tough I bought three & a half pallets of tile. They asked if I had a truck? Yeah, it's outside." Can you carry a whole pallet? Yeah. You'll have to make four trips. No I won't. Attachment 1712482

Re: Ford Tough I know those guys! They live on Quarry Hill. Haven't discovered their smart phones are equipped with calculators.
Re: Ford Tough Getting it in was easy enough (with a front end loader), but I wonder how the owner plans to get it out? It WILL fold up that tailgate like a matchbox if they try to go over the tailgate and I suspect even if the take the tailgate off it's still going to put a serious V in the back of the bed of the truck when they get it near the edge where there's not a lot of support. OTOH I wonder if he even got the rock home before it broke lose when he tried to slow down and it came crashing into the rear of the cab of the tuck and taking out the rear window in the process?
Re: Ford Tough I hauled a 100 hp electric motor in a Ranger once, I managed to get it to the motor shop but luckily I never had to stop in a hurry.

Re: Ford Tough The rock may have been about 1700lbs. based on the size of the skid steer. No where near 10,000lbs. though. I'm guessing the owner wasn't too worried if the truck got wrecked.
Re: Ford Tough I’m guessing the rock was about 10 thousand pounds.
Re: Ford Tough I had a '98 Ranger 4x4, that thing didn't like anything more than about 400# in the back. I used it as a welding rig for 3 weeks once with a Trailblazer 302 in the back, it wasn't happy.
