Thanks a lot for all the help and suggestions. I think I may have lucked out as I just purchased the same unit on EBAY. The guy was selling it as a parts only welder and the gun is in good shape. I will now have spare parts and if I need a new gun at some point I will have the power point and the rest of the gun to copy off of if I need to fab one. Thanks again!

If the gun has the smaller power pin. you might still be able to get the power block from a newer welder that that fits the tweco guns.

If you need a new liner, your LWS will tell you not possible. So then get a Miller M-10/M-15 liner and swap the brass back end fitting. The brass fitting has a slight crimp and can be pulled or unscrewed.

a tweco mini mig or lincoln magnum 100L Should fit with a minor modification to the inlet guide. the new guns are a little longer because the liner sticks out.
Just take the old gun down to a welding supply store and compare the power pins.
Match up the o-rings and you will see the difference. Have done this to several handlers. This model and the one I own which is a little newer.

Yes, it is an old one. I had this for over 30 years and it is a solid welder. I hate to pitch it out. Thanks

Yes, I already went to them and then went to the local Airgas shop who handles Miller and Hobart and they say the gun Usaweld said will work, will not work. I wish it would have worked because they quoted me $170 which I would have paid. thanks

If all you need is the differ, tip and nozzle then you can make an adapter.

It might be a sport to fix it. Bet at auction between that and the juice for a new gun would put a dent in the payment on a new machine. Either way, if it works and not letting a bunch of monkeys use it in a muffler shop its worth a fix.

I have an original Hobart 120 Handler which has not had much use and works great. I bought an adapter from HTP which enables me to use currently available contact tips, nozzle, diffuser etc. However, replacement liners or anything else for the original Piecemaker gun is not available and would require replacing the entire gun. HTP carry's a replacement which lists for about $170.00 and currently shows as out of stock. The link below brings you to the appropriate page on the HTP website.

You can use low cost guns from China.
But you make a adapter to fit your welder.

They all about same the problem is trying to a China made welder to America gun a lot of the China made welders use value in the handle.

This not problem with America made welders they use a solenoid value and works off wire feeder. All you have is a extra value savings gas.

Yes, I contacted Hobart and they referred me to Benard/Tregskiss who said they could make me a new gun by combining a 2200143 power pin with a XS1810-30 GUN. The only problem with that is they quoted me a price of $550. I like my old hobart welder but at that price I will put that money towards a new one. Thanks
