I think that bumper turned out sweet. Its nice to see it wasn't over done. I see lots of over done bumpers with stuff sticking up all over over shackles banging all over the place, this one is shall I say svelte...

    Re: A few projects...

Haven't updated this for quite a while....

The nearly finished utility trailer for a friend -

    A 100 gal. aluminum fuel tank -

Flotation pods for a river boat -

A transom jack for a canoe. (wood is just propped to show the lift) -

I made a bunch of these yard drink holders -

I think I sold 10-12 of these fire pits last summer -

An aluminum roof for a Polaris Ranger -

A custom bumper for a Ford Raptor since the stock bumper lost the battle to some 4" thick ice after falling through this winter....

All finished up and powder coated -

    Re: A few projects...

Finally finished up all six woodstoves -

Whipped up some quick brackets to hang a large paper roll -

Built this entertainment center last weekend for a friend. It will get wood shelves to connect the pieces and corner shelving on both outer sides.

Some aluminum boat davits for pot pullers -

Built this frame for a flatbed for a Polaris ranger on Tuesday -

Got a good start on a 5x8 utility trailer last night -

Question, does the added weight reduce the buoyancy to much to allow for water travel?
I don't think so. The stuff I built only added about 100# or so. Being a bit top heavy would be my concern in the water. This was for a customer and he never complained about the weight, only that he can now load up way too much stuff.

    Thanks guys.

The draft is the spinner on the door Bruce. That disk is covering a 3" hole.

CW, the stoves are all 3/16". It is a customer's design, I'm just assembling them for him. I'm not sure about warping. I imagine if they got a really hot fire going there may be an issue. These are purpose built for some outdoor saunas that the customer builds. I think he is just shooting for a moderate fire that will last a couple hours. He doesn't need an all night burn.

    Re: A few projects...

    Those are some sweet builds!
What is the thickness of the stoves?
Could their be a possibility of warping in the sides and bottom?

What kind of draft setup do those stoves have?

    Re: A few projects...

Made this log crib for a friend the other day. He gave me a 4x8 sheet of 1/2" he had laying around for the favor. (Welding table build to come!)

Loading it on the truck -

In place and waiting to be welded to the truck -

Finally came up with a door design I like for the wood stoves -

This is what happens when you forget to double check that all the inside welds are finished before putting the front on...

A few more recent jobs -

Five "Iron Rangers" for our local Parks and Rec -

    Diamond plate cargo box -

    Aluminum loading ramp -

Making progress on a six woodstove order -

Pressure plate (1/2" thick) for a friends leather shop. He uses it to help mold leather around aluminum handgun molds for holsters -

Older thread, but a great idea. We heat about 90% with firewood, most of it moved with a rather small ATV (Honda Rancher 400). Any commercial arch I've seen was top $ and involved a hand-cranked winch to elevate. Too much work, defeats the purpose. So I have continued to abuse the ATV by simply dragging firewood full length on the ground, sometimes anchored to the rear luggage rack which elevates the log but makes the machine hard to steer. The inclined bar is genius. I'll skip the chain and attach my tongs directly to the clevis. Just thinking out loud now. Winter project, underway. Thanks.
