Re: Millermatic 35 s mig equipment does not regulate wire speed This welder is simple. There are no electronic controls. the motor control is just a rheostat across the motor and the welder output. Change the voltage tap and the motor speed changes. If motor is running at full speed then you have a short across the rheostat allowing full voltage to reach the motor. use an ohm meter and test the rheostat. it should read 1.5 ohms and it is rated 50 watts. I see you have the spot weld timer. If it is set in spot the wire speed is bypassed. and motor runs full speed.

Re: Millermatic 35 s mig equipment does not regulate wire speed The wire speed control doesn't do anything and the wire comes out at the fastest speed no matter where it's set or the wire comes out without the trigger pulled, etc.? You need to give more specific details when looking for solutions to your problem. I'd guess you need a new rheostat or what ever controls the wire speed but I don't know all the details. You can look up the serial number on Millers site that may have some info under troubleshooting.
