Safety glasses, Flame Resistant jacket, and then a fuzzy acrylic cap ? Looks mighty flammable to me. Having done welding around lots of kennels, barns, garages, and factories, dry hay fields, I now have a real respect for how much of the world is flammable. Including blankets, hats, and jackets. One of the farms by me lost a Morton building full of hay from someone just grinding bolts off a hay wagon with a battery operated 4-1/2" grinder. Sometimes it doesn't take much. I guess if it keeps you warm when your not welding , grinding , or cutting, to each his own.

So how exactily did we go from Rigs , to hats ?

@broccoli1- is that smalll garage door the only way to get those trucks in ? That looks really tight, you must have good drivers, or are you the only one that backs them in there. With the drivers I work with, I would expect to seem some scrapes on the door, and the trucks. Nice trucks , how do you like the MB van ? My boss was looking at one the last time we went to the car show.

    Regards

    The old chip box truck.

Get one of the pink welding helmets marketed for women. It will serve 2 purposes. None of the guys will ever "borrow" it and it will really throw your co-worker for a loop.

One of my co-works at that job, real religious guy, told me that my pink beanie made me gay, I told him that if the colour pink is enough to swing him to the other side maybe he should try it and let me know how it go's

Some guys do build their own decks but either they have a shop or a friend has a shop to do it in. They could be busy working too while the new deck is getting built. No PST in Alberta but some have been talking about adding it. It would go over like a lead balloon.

Nothing wrong with those Canadian rigs except price. Most weldors here build their own rigs and would be ashamed not to. Pride and all, you know.

I was going to replace little red in 2011 and while the new truck prices kind of stunned me, the thought of having to build another bed put the quiettus on that. I put a new 330 horse, 350 crate motor in it and just kept on going.

I'm guessing Americans pay the applicable tax and have to apply for a refund upon proving the item went out of Province.
