    Re: Grizzly 6" Vise Brake

The advantage of the 6" is that you can let it hang out of the vise jaws on one side and it will remain stable, this way there is more clearance so your work can be completely alongside the vise and have room to bend larger pieces. I could never have made those brackets inside of the vise jaws, not enough room.

    Re: Grizzly 6" Vise Brake

For double the cost of the Grizzly, this one looks more capable, and does not need a vise (or a VICE!!)

The video on Amazon shows it bending some stout bars,, and it only costs $150,,,

and,, for half the cost of a Grizzly, there is an Eastwood 4" version, that looks identical to the Grizzly,,,

I can not imagine doing much more than 4" wide material,, Hmmmmmmm,,

    Decisions,, decisions,,,

Making brackets to save money is one thing but in the Covid age you just can't find stuff you need, plus I get the holes where I want them. I suppose you guys that don't live near to stores make stuff all the time just to avoid the trip. Tomorrow I'll paint them to match the project.
