I can see myself buying those cheap welding clamps at HF because they are not bad for the price, maybe some Pittsburg hand tools too but i refuse to pay top dollar for their air tools. For that price i can buy another brand and will. Sure they are probably good air tools and as good as other economy brands but they kinda made me mad for raising prices and dropping the 20% coupon

I talked to a regional manager from HF and he said the 20% off anything option is gone. He said actually if you do some research we have raised our prices 20% instead. He was like everyone else and blamed it on CV19.

They are all digital now. Cheaper for them and eco friendly to the environment. Get on the email list and you might see the 20% off coupons but as has been mentioned, the coupons are only good for some things. I got a couple decent things with the 25% and even the 30% off coupons back in the day. 20 ton press, media blasting cabinet, rolling vehicle jack, flat stock bender etc.

I haven't seen a 20% off coupon in a long time. If they stopped printing them then they are getting too big for their britches. Without coupons they would lose my business except for small items.

When purchased my welder the fine print on the Coupon said no to welders.
I agree with two year exchange warranty

It's good to see HF is now competing in the better-quality part of the market. But ... I've seen two reports now of a Titanium 125 (DC flux welder) that welded nice but lasted less than a month. So I recommend pay for the two year exchange warranty on this one.

Oh Yea, the Party's Over at HF (glad I got "in" on it while I could....)

Really no more useful coupons, no more mass mailings, no more catalogs, no more magazine ads, if you still need to feel "special" you've got to Pay for Inside Track (and no real deals there either).

I think their corporate philosophy is to now replace Craftsman, better tools, more money but, I also think the quality in their higher-priced line has gone up to those standards!

It about 15 years they made change .
Harbor Frieght you could buy bandsaw with 20% coupon . Today it only small low cost junk.

Just the regular 25 percent off anything coupons they had... I think it really depends on the managers of the stores as some of them can be very picky There are at least 6 HF stores I can go to in the area and even though they are the same store they are as different as family members

Strange. It has always worked for me in NorCal. I think there are a few special coupons that require the paper original. One might be the coupon that comes in the box with Vulcan welders.

I tried the picture of a coupon at some of the local HF's around here.... didn't work they wanted 'original' coupons....

The only magazines that see is for women or put coupons in the women's magazines.

I was thinking about this the other day and realized that I haven't been there since the last magazine they mailed me which must have been 4 or 5 months ago. Don't matter anyways since alot of their junk is cheaper in other stores, believe it or not.

Yep, they're in pretty much every magazine I get all the diesel mags, all the gun mags, machinist mags, off road, water sports mags, woodworking mags, aviation mags... shoot I can't think of any magazines I have seen recently that did NOT have a HF page with the discount coupon on it well... except mags like Vouge and family circle... I don't think HF buys ads in them...
